Frequently asked questions
Practical answers before you choose a system
These answers are general guidance. Final recommendations depend on the property, electrical supply, load profile, equipment and agreed scope.
01
How is a solar system sized?
Sizing considers consumption, essential loads, peak demand, daytime use, roof area, supply type, backup goals and budget. A monthly bill alone is not always sufficient.
02
How long will a battery last?
Backup duration depends on usable battery capacity and the load drawn over time. It cannot be confirmed responsibly without a load profile and operating assumptions.
03
Can a system be expanded later?
Many systems can be expanded, but inverter capacity, battery compatibility, panel string limits, protection and warranties must be checked during the original design.
04
Does the quotation include everything?
The quotation should state whether VAT, delivery, installation, mounting, protection, certification, monitoring and optional electrical work are included.
05
What maintenance is required?
Maintenance may include visual inspection, monitoring review, connection checks, alert investigation and assessment of panel cleaning needs.
06
Will solar eliminate my electricity bill?
Not necessarily. Grid charges, nighttime use, weather, system size and operating behaviour affect the remaining electricity cost.
